Calling all social work students interested in presenting research!
The Mississippi Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) invites you to submit poster abstracts in order to be considered for presentation at the NASW-MS Annual Conference on March 6-8, 2019, in Natchez, MS. The accepted abstracts will be included for juried presentation competition during the conference, and students will have the opportunity to compete for monetary and recognition awards.
The Southern Miss School of Social Work always has a strong showing of student poster presenters at the bachelor’s and master’s level – and we need YOU to keep that legacy going!
If you are a junior or senior in the BSW program or an MSW student and you’re interested in obtaining research experience, we would love to help connect you to a faculty research mentor who shares your passions in social justice issues, preferred population, policy, mental/behavioral health – the options are endless! You’ll work with your faculty mentor throughout the entire experience, and if your abstract is accepted for presentation, then you will be able to attend a poster workshop to ensure that your poster is the highest possible quality.
Attached are the NASW-MS Poster Instructions and the NASW-MS Poster Abstract Form. Abstracts must be electronically submitted to info.naswms@socialworkers.org by Nov. 30, 2018.
