This week in The Advocate, the Southern Miss School of Social Work newsletter:

Hattiesburg business owner James Moore (below) and representatives from Stand Up, Mississippi – a statewide initiative – are speaking on campus about the opioid crisis.
The SWK Writing Lab is set to open on both campuses.
Support the Elementary and Secondary School Counseling Act, sponsored by the School Social Work Association of America.
